My name is Leo Figini; I am married to Kathy Figini, First Trinity’s Office Manager. We have lived and worked in the Buffalo area all our lives.  We have been members of First Trinity for over twenty years.  I am currently serving on the Ministry Council as a member-at-large.

Kathy and I have two daughters, Elizabeth and Melissa, who were brought up at First Trinity and attended Martin Luther Christian School. I attend the 5:30 Saturday Service every week where I usher and assist with communion.  I was very pleased and excited when asked to become a member of the Ministry Council this past summer.  Through the years at First Trinity I have been blessed with many Church friends and I never came to understand the importance and influence our Church has on us until ten years ago when I had serious heart complications and had surgery at the Cleveland clinic, where my life was saved by the wonderful and skillful surgeons on staff there.  So many people from our Church congregation prayed for me and Kathy during this trying time and showed so much concern that it was truly overwhelming.  I am convinced God decided that with all those prayers he should keep me around for a while longer to possibly help someone else along the path we take to become better Christians. 

Obviously saying yes to the Council offer was a “no brainer”.  My chance to show my appreciation to God and my Church for all they have done for me.

In my work life, I am the Operations Manager for a Petroleum Distributor in Tonawanda, NY where I am responsible for the Distribution and Transportation of about 2.5 million gallons of gasoline and diesel products per month.
